(no subject)
this community was brought to my attention by samhain_punk and it's the greatest thing i've ever seen in my life! i have tons of odd little shit hanging around my apartment (i wish i'd known about this last year before i got rid of all my crap to move to california, i probably could've mailed something to EVERYONE in the damn community) that i can send to people... yah. so. my list. and i highly encourage you to post your own. because its fantasssstic.
1. bottlecaps.. i love em. i have thousands. i'll do something with them.. someday. it'd be cool to have some caps from stranger drinks/other countries. my parents brought me a bag of caps from sweden and they were the coolest thing... ever. so. all bottlecaps. as long as they aren't moldy or rusty..
2. yarn.. any kind. compulsive knitter/crocheter. i love all things string-like.
3. blueberry flavored coffee.. from dunkin donuts or 7-11. there are no dunkin donuts in los angeles. and the 7-11's aren't like they are in NY, with 15 different coffees at any given time. i used to drink blueberry every day. it was my favorite. i rejoiced when i saw a sevs here.... but when i went inside, i cried. for i had been pwn3d.
4. mail.. i LOVE getting mail. i only ever get netflix and bills and cards from my mom. however... i love getting weird/funny/funky mail because mail that isn't asking me for money always brightens my day. send me a postcard with an embaressing moment, funny story, joke, booze reccomendation etc on it. moving to LA has not been the greatest experience. i need smiles. and i will write you back.
5. anything with ducks.. i love rubber ducks. anything with em, they're always adorable.
6. ..or buddhas.. i know, i must have an oddly decorated apartment. it's true.
7. ANYTHING golden girls.. i'm freakishly obsessed with them. even if it's like... those little inserts that come with dvds, advertising other dvds, and its got GG on it, i want it. i make magnets and buttons out of crap like that so i can have my girls with me at all time.
8. donate to the animal shelter.. or adopt a pet. we just got a kitty from there and she's the BESTEST! purrs all the time and is absolutely a hoot, doing crazy shit all the time. and the south LA shelter is nice but... you can tell that it's stretched thin and only nice because the empolyees and volunteers there really, really care. so if you don't have time/space for a new family member... donate a few bucks.
9. dishes that don't have mates.. none of our dishes match. and i like it that way but we don't have that many. and we're having thanksgiving at our place this year so i'm not quite sure how that's going to work. if you have a weird dish/bowl/cup/whatever that you question the existance of, send it to me!
10. weird things/beads/buttons/shells/etc.. things that would be very odd to get in the mail. the kind of crap thing they sell by the scoop from that skeevy bowl by the register of consignment shops.
