This is what Republicans need to figure out. Ron Paul is the only candidate who has a chance against the Democrats. He is the only one in step with the majority of the nation, however, he is considered to have no chance. I've become something of a Youtube political junkie now, watching all sorts of videos. I've decided that this is the only Republican candidate I can even stand listening to. Every debate is more war-mongering, more threats to civil liberties, and more refusals to listen to the nation at large on the key issues.
There is only one candidate who consistently voted against the war in Iraq and against the USA PATRIOT Act, and that candidate is Ron Paul.
Every empire reaches a period of decline, and the amount of debt and government largess in America is leading the US in that direction. The value of the dollar is declining now, and only Ron Paul is outlining a plan to save the US Dollar. Only Ron Paul is advocating a plan to strengthen our national defense -- not our national aggressiveness. Only Ron Paul is advocating a truly free society where the government is not spying on its citizens and treating them like criminals. Only Ron Paul envisions a system where people have the freedom to choose the health care they want, and have the ability to get it. Without saving these things, the prosperity that the United States of America has enjoyed is coming to an end sooner rather than later.
