Hm, it seems that vegetarian cats do as well, if not better, then meat-eating cats.

So what is the big fucking problem then.

Cats aren't supposed to be vegetarian. Besides, kittens are going to hunt either way so it's going to eat meat whether she likes it or not.

I love cats and part of their beauty is their hunt.

I realize that it will hunt and I'm fine with that I won't be spending my money on meat for it though.

Also, did you not read this:

What’s Really in Meat-Based Pet Food:
* Carcasses of euthanized cats & dogs (some with flea collars and containing sodium pentobarbital used for euthasia).
* Unwanted insecticides and pharmaceuticals from diseased livestock (complete with plastic ID tags).
* Rotting supermarket rejects including plastic and styrofoam packaging.
* Animal parts deemed “unfit for human consumption” (heads, legs, tongues, intestines, esophagi, beaks, feathers, bones, blood, lungs, ligaments, etc.)
* Diseased and cancerous body parts from the 4 D’s: dead, dying, diseased, & disabled factory-farmed animals

Or are you choosing to ignore it?If you love cats why would you want to feed your cat shit like that?

I'm not saying it can't eat meat, I'm saying I'm not spending money on that fucking shit.

As long as you're having fun with "facts" ...

How many animals have you killed just to remain a self-righteous vegan?

Okay, so they kill those animals but they are not rasied to die in a factory farm I'm not why you guys are being such jerks about this it is what I believe and my cat will be fine.

I'm not disputing your choice to be a vegan or vegetarian, I'm merely observing that your forcing aforementioned lifestyle upon your cat is no different than the forms of animal cruelty you're so morally opposed to.

Hell, what about cruelty to workers. Farmers are among the poorest people in every society. Gotta get organic fruit somewhere

I'm not against veganism, i'm tired of hearing about it as the end all of the anarchist movement.

I'm not against veganism, either, I'm just sick of people not drawing the distinction between what they hope to accomplish and what they're actually doing.

Indeed.

There is a chasm between those who shoot for social movements, and lifestylists. And i'm tired of watching the one that has little history of any success, getting all the energy.

Word.

But, on that same note, it makes sense that it would happen that way, else social progress would be vastly improved relative to what it is.

Dude,Evie.
You just buy the stuff without byproducts. Organic stuff.
The wording of your entry doesn't give off that you would let it eat meat.
I mean, my dog eats the natural stuff with out byproducts. That's all you have to do.

I'm not articulating myself very well. Sorry.

But then she wouldn't have any practical reasoning to back up her bullshit sense of morality!

As opposed to, y'know, inherantly weak, somewhat practical reasoning.

when you kill and eat something in nature, you eat the entire thing, including the head, legs, tounge, intestines, beak, feathers etc etc etc.
Ohh, they drink the blood too.

Cats are hunters, they have claws and sharp teeth for a reason, to catch, kill and eat meat.

Feeding them unnatural foods like whatever the hell veggie cat food is, is about as logical as sticking them in a zoo.

Well yes, they are hunters. But it's not that she's opposed to that, she just won't buy prepackaged meat for it. The cat doesn't hunt for that, so the fact that cat's are predators is irrelevant.

Cats are designed to eat meat. One of the main arguments for veganism/vegetarianism is that humans are not designed to eat meat. That for some reason, some random evolutionary occurance happened where we picked up dead flesh and consumed it.

Now, this turn in the road led us to this path now, of consuming animal flesh. And this is the dip in morality that we're killing animals and what not.

Now, the shift in evolutionary design that vegans are so against(dramatically changingn diet content) is the exact same if you turn a carnivore into an animals that doesn't get any meat in their diet. Pushing a lifestyle choice onto your animal, and i'd like to see the actual clinical tests showing that cats and other animals are really ok on this sort of product. Again, this would also have to be tested on animals(for good or bad) which is another main point of the animal rights movement, to quit testing things on animals that weren't meant to be tested on animals.

But, its all relative
