WHEN: Week 05, 'Another Brick in the Wall'/Wednesday, January 4, 2009/ 9.14AM
WHERE: Great Hall
WHO: Dumbledore's Army REPRESENT!
"NO ON MUGGLEBORN REGISTRATION, NO ON MUGGLEBORN REGISTRATION," shouted Darren Redding, his voice already showing signs of strain. He'd now been shouting this and other protests for almost two hours, but he showed no indication of tiredness. No, instead he was fuelled by the fire inside, the fire of fighting for a good cause. It had been a while since he'd been in an active protest. The last was to do with the imhumane way in which calves were slaughtered for their meat. Both of these protests were near and dear to his heart.
How could the Ministry do something like this? It was atrocious and violated a person's basic civil rights! If they had made it a person's choice to be registered, he mightn't have batted an eyelid. But it was compulsory! Those who failed to register would get into trouble and that just wasn't kosher in his book.
So at exactly seven thirty-one this morning, himself and a handful of DA members had surpised everyone by standing up and vocalising their thoughts.
"NO ON MUGGLEBORN REGISTRATION!"
