Richard Stallman recently gave talk titled "Free Software Movement and GNU/Linux Operating System". Of
particular interest is the open Q&A session where RMS is asked such questions as "Can I use ATI and NVIDIA drivers because Mesa isn't

So I attempted to upload my photos to flickr, but that didn't exactly work out (turns out there was greater than 100mb of crap). Instead you can enjoy them on facebook barcampwaterloo4 and people of the csc. The photos are all rather poor quality, but I'm still figuring out how to use my camera so thats what you get :)

Based on some admitedly quick back of the envelope style calculations (actually done in python rather than an envelope, but whatever), the amount of data pushed for erics talk works out to around 5 (possibly 7)TB which is awesome, since we only used 598GB of university bandwith.
The power of p2p for distributing content :-)

Erics talk has made it on slashdot makeing this the fifth talk on slashdot this semester for the CSC.

DT & I spent a large part of today meeting and talk to various people with various results. News of our first meeting of the day apparently preceeded our arrival at the later meetings :-) Dealing with the University IT people is always interesting, I never really know what to expect from them.
