(no subject)
I meant to update this morning with some wacky dream I had, but then I completely forgot about it in favor of internetting and pretending I am hard at work writing - uh - two different fics now (the Big Bang and a Guardians of the Galaxy fic, DON'T ASK, IT'S COMPLICATED).
No, wait, I remember it now! I was reading the end of Naruto in Jump (it took up half the magazine for some reason), and the ending was totally bizarre but made me happy anyway because it had a glimpse of happy cheerful shinobi afterlife that included Hashirama and Madara having peace talks and baby Zabuza and Kisame doing exercises together, which was cute as fuck. In the dream I was even getting all teary-eyed at the final pages...
... man, no matter how cracked-out that series has gotten (and how little I've talked about it recently), I'm going to bawl when it does finally end. (And then, I hope, channel some energy into finishing my WIPs for that fandom. It's ridiculous how they've languished.)
Hm, in other news - well, I've now seen Guardians of the Galaxy twice and loved it each time! There's a few little things that bug me (I would kill a dude for more Gamora and Nebula screentime because fucked-up siblings are my JAM), but mostly it was just a ton of fun and pretty and funny and had great music choices. Just - don't ask about the fic I started, okay, all will become clear in due time if I actually finish it.
Also I am trying to improve my lazy, repetitive grad school diet with bok choy. It's an okay addition to my usual stirfry recipe, but as it turns out too spinach-y for me to really enjoy raw. (I made a salad with crunchy noodle bits and really half-assed dressing! The dressing actually was fairly tasty, the noodles about broke my teeth, so I definitely did something wrong with them.) I have two little clusters left, not sure if I'm going to try steaming/frying them on their own or just use them both in a stirfry again... Maybe next time I will try to improve my diet with cabbage instead.
