what a lame friday night
my summer seems to be oscillating between being really busy and exciting and really dull and boring. this is one of those really dull and boring nights, and it's a friday. oh well. i was a teensy bit productive, which makes me feel a bit better about it.
my girls are all out in denver for the weekend to celebrate liz's birthday, and i'm not there, which leaves me feeling a bit left out, but it was my choice not to go because i thought i was already investing enough in vacations this summer with a trip out to wa and taking a week off to go up to wolf ridge, even though that is free.
ryan booked a plane ticket out to mn last night and i could not be more excited to see him so soon. he's staying a day longer than he thought he would, which is wonderful. he was worried that it'd be inconvenient or something like that, but i reassured him that spending some more time with me is not at all a problem.
so, although tonight is lame, i do have a long list of exciting things coming up that i can look forward to.
1) going to the pompei exhibit at the science museum for mom's bday and later on making bank for babysitting 5 kiddies
2) wolf ridge, bright and early monday morning
3) HP7 and waiting for it to come out that night
4) the germans staying with us for a few days
5) ryan staying with us for 6 days
6) going out to school earlier than i had planned so i'll have more time to spend with friends before i start orientation training
7) bumbershoot
i hope the weather is nice up at WR. it might be a bit warmer than usual, but that's okay. i hope we can hike down on tuesday night to scare my brother and his friends at their campout...must remember to bring all black to wear that night.
recent fun activities:
-harry potter party/movie. i'm a ravenclaw!
-seeing b-shragg and the rest of the shragg family.
-log rolling!! in the NJH pool. sooo fun.
-taking the kids to the zoo
-talking to GT like 24-7 has been lovely
i am sort of bummed that i missed 7/11 free slurpee day. i will just have to make up for it when i'm back on campus.
it's raining right now. i love warm summer rains.
