writing to you from GE CEF...

so I'm down to the last couple weeks of the work term. I'll miss working with some of the workers. These guys are all super nice people and so much fun. What I won't miss is waking up early to start working at 8....oh wait...I'll be doing that at the next job! except I'll be waking up even earlier to work out in Toronto! My summer work term is at CREIT (Canada Real Estate Investment Trust) Management Ltd where I'll be working as a Leasing Clerk. My job activities include, but are not limited to: "CAM Audits Review of all lease CAM provisions to ensure that CREIT is invoicing in accordance with the agreements. Special Projects including tenant file reviews, budget preparation, environmental inspections, etc." What does all the mean?! Good question....basically I'm looking through the legal documents and making sure that CREIT abides by the laws set by the government and in turn, the tenants follow the rules/laws set by CREIT. This job doesn't have much to do with finance, which is a big change for me. It'll be a good change hopefully. If I live at home (and I'm about 90% sure I'll be living at home), my day will start at around 5:30am, get to the GO train by 6:45, work from 8:30-5, then catch the train to get back into Burly at around 6:30ish. I will force myself to read my Securities text on the train/subway so that I can get one test completed for the course before the summer is over, and to get used to reading in a moving vehicle. I always seem to get a headache whenever I try to read, except I can read maps no problem. weird.

I wanna go whack some balls this weekend. Apparently it's gonna be around 16 degrees on Saturday. Who wants to come home to whack with me???? Janet??? Park?? Norm, I know you have an exam so you won't be coming home.

Alright...I guess I should do some work before I head out for lunch.

Good luck with your exams!! =)
