Grindelwald/Dumbledore post DH fic-draft, "Young"

Young

Albus waits at King’s Cross station day after day. Watch the colours of autumn painted over by sheets of white, the snow of winter melts into shoots of green, and the wetness of spring dries to leave the bold brushes of blue overhead.

He wondered if it had been a year, if time still existed in eternality, when another train finally arrives, bearing with it the lone passenger he had longed for.

The Gellert who stepped onto the platform was at his oldest, haunted and grave. He trembled when Albus rush forth, and questioned if he was still wanted.

Always.

…and then they wrapped their arms about each other, and were together with an affection neither has felt since that summer long ago. The years between them were tangible in the lines on their faces and their aged limbs, but when Gellert pulled him down for a kiss by his silvery hair, then told him he still feels absolutely beautiful, he does.

Note: It is my opinion that the afterlife is mostly what one makes of it, as Dumbledore and Grindelwald died, after being old all those years, when they meet each other again, they will be old. King’s Cross station is there because it’s what Dumbledore is familiar with as a place of transition. It might have been a year or less or more, but before Grindelwald arrived in ‘King’s Cross station’, he had to journey through all the bad places he had made before. Think ‘Galaxy Express 999’.

It's short, maybe that's enough, all I need is a few adjustments. I haven't yet written a long fic, but maybe brevity would suit this one? It's about a drabble and a half, just over 160 words.

albus dumbledore, grindeldore, harry potter, gellert grindelwald
