Kaylee turns a corner and finds another new student looking lost.

"Hi! Are you new? I'm Kaylee. D'you need help finding your dorm?"

Elwood tips his hat. "Good day to you, Ma'am. And I think I'm all right... Sort of wandering around, getting a feel for the place." It really was nice of her to ask, though.

"Oh! Well, don't let me stop you then." Kaylee smiles and backs off a little, unwilling to stop him settling in.

"Hey, no, you're all right," he offers a smile; he hadn't intended to ward her off. After all, it's better to be able to figure out who he'd be dealing with, and she seems to be a nice enough young woman. "Not like I got any time limit here."

Kaylee smiles widely. "Oh well, if you're not in any hurry..." a mewing sound comes from the pocket of her coveralls. "You want to meet my kitten?"

He blinks, shrugs. "Sure, Ma'am. I'd be pleased to meet you kitten." Though more of a dog person, Elwood doesn't generally have any problems with cats.

Kaylee pulls a white kitten from her pocket and aims it at Elwood.

"This is Whitefall. I got her from DEATH!"

Startled, he almost jumps at the sudden kitten attack, then nods, looking at the animal. "Interesting thing to get a kitten from." Is it a name, or is she pulling something? Either way, he hasn't seen a kitten in a while, and this one appears particularly harmless; that's always good.
