JD and Jack's WART show!

Jul 17, 2006 20:26

JD: The radio screeched to life, and through the sound of static, JD could be heard shouting "Hello? Hello, can you-" the static disappeared as he finished shouting "-HEAR ME? Oh, umm..." there's a slight clattering noise before JD returned to the microphone. "Hi there everyone! Welcome to WART number forty-four, my very first broadcast! I'm JD," he said brightly.

Jack: There is a very long drawn out sigh, then laughter. "This may be his last..." There is yet more laughing. "It's Jack Harkness back again, this time I'm looking after him making sure he doesn't break anything..."

JD: "Hey, I won't break anythin-" crunching sound, "Heh, I er, I won't break anything else." he said sheepishly. "Anyway! I think we should get to the music! Don't you?"

Jack: "Oh yes! Just sit... stay still and generally don't move and look pretty..." There is silence for a moment. "Music right! Since it's your first time, you pick the first song."

JD: "Ooo!" there is the sound of rummaging, before "Yes! They have it! I'm gonna stick on "I'm walking on sunshine" by Katrina and the Waves. Enjoy everyone!"

Jack: "Oh I'm so picking next time." Then "Remember he's cute." is muttered over and over a few times.

JD: JD laughed. "Come on, it's a classic!" there was some more laughing. "Alright, alright. You pick a song then. Lets see if it's any better."

Jack: "Classic? Please that's not classic!" Jack sounded outraged. "All the music out there and that is classic!" Jack then laughed.

"Fine! I will. Green Day's “Basket Case“, I will not claim that a 'classic' just a good track."

JD: "Good choice! I really like Greenday. Right, the next one from me is a more personal one. It's to my Mentor, Doctor Cox. Nice guy actually. The song is by Frankie goes to Hollywood, and it's called "Relax" Take a break once in a while Cox, alright?"

Jack: There is the sound of a chair being moved, while this is heard Jack can just be made out to be saying "If each track is on average three minutes... three, four..." There is silence a moment.

"How about we play thre..four songs together and we relax?"

JD: "Sure! Sounds like a plan. Then we can get around to the requests."

Jack: "I..." Jack was silent again. "Here's four songs.Somewhere only we know by Keane, Wunderkind by Alanis Morisette, dedicated to all of the “Under twenties”, Bloodhound Gang‘s Bad touch and Pansy division with “Too many hoops” " Jack laughed then there was an indistinct noise before there songs played and the mic was turned off.

JD: "Wha- Oh." there was a stiffled laugh from JD just before the mic was turned off too. Towards the end of the songs, there was a sound. The mic flared to life again as JD accidentally kicked it. "Hold on-I'm just…there we go. Better?" he asked, before the sounds of kissing could be heard.

Jack: "I... Oh! Yes!" Jack sounded very happy. "Hold on... I think... JD how long has that been back on?"

JD: "I-what? Oh! Er, welcome back listeners!" he coughed nervously "We, that is, er...Osaka would like to hear "Bananaphone" by Raffi, which is dedicated to, er, to "Whoever sent that Owl"? Thanks very much Osaka, a fantastic song there!" Lyrics

Jack: "One way of giving them a show." Jack laughed. "...What the..." Utterly confused by that song. "Look! Someone's requested something for you! From Doctor Cox." Jack coughed. "Rainbow Brite? Something you need to share?"

JD: There was some more shuffling sounds. "From Doctor Cox to..Julia. Thanks Doctor Cox." he said dryly. "Very...sweet. Ooo! Here's a less bright and less annoying song! It's "Numb" covered by Jamelia. It's dedicated anonymously for...a Dalek? I thought you said that they were all dead..." Lyrics

Jack: "Er, I misread that sorry. But wait..." Jack sounds confused again. "I thought so too, there was a reason I was under the bed the other day you know. Though what happened after was fun." Jack coughed. "Next song...?"

JD: JD also coughed a little. "Yes, a nice game of...checkers. Very intimi-interesting! Alright, our next song is a request from Luna, by Julie Ecklar. It's called Witnesses’ Waltz That’s a good song! What do you think of that Jack? Lyrics

Jack: "Sorry what now? Yeah good song..." He said eventually. "Ooh Doctor wants a song! Well here you go!" Kiss the girl plays.

JD: JD laughs. "It's nice to see you're paying attention. I wonder who that one is to, eh Jack? Ooo! There's another from the Doctor. It's "The Galaxy Song" by Monty Python. Wow, that sounds like it'd be cool to see! You've seen it already I'll bet though." lyrics

Jack: "I can't help it if I'm thinking of another game of checkers..."

Jack had a minor coughing fit.

"I'll take you sometime...Did I play the wrong song there?" There was the sound of paper being screwed up and thrown.

JD: JD sniggered slightly. "It doesn't matter, the Doctor should kiss the girl anyway. I'm sure that it'd do them both good. Him and the lucky woman! Who I have no idea who it could be. At all." there was some more laughing. "Alright, alright, you came here for music. So, here's two requests from E.P to DT? I don't know who they are, but here's "Back in my arms" by Paso Fino, and "Skin on skin" by...AHAHAHA!" puts on terminator voice. "By Sarah Connor." Back in my arms Lyrics, Skin on skin Lyrics

Jack: "I have no idea either, heh sorry about that Doc." Jack sniggered.

"Anyone tell you you're a geek? A cute one, but still... Anyway music. This is anonymous, come with the following message 'Maybe you could pace yourself a little with the chocolates?' and the song would be Leslie Fish's Blowin' Nose Blues." Jack laughed.

JD: "Thanks! I think that you're horribly adorable too." There was a slight pause before "...Is that about?? Oh god. That's horrible!" he started laughing anyway.

Jack: "To whoever requested that. You are fantastic." Jack continued laughing.

JD: "Oh, that song was..interesting. I can honestly say that that has never happened to me. Ever."

Jack: "Music..." Jack gasped.

"Luna, wants to hear Lily the pink!" He's laughing again. Lyrics

JD: "There's another one for pink here! Yuki Yubari would love to hear "Pink, by Aerosmith."" Lyrics.

Jack: "You remember what else were pink..."

JD: "Ooo, what was pink? I don't remember..."

Jack: "You really want me to tell you, so everyone knows..."

JD: "Is it ru-Oh, the hand-," he coughs. "Yeah, they were great! Anyway, stop distracting me you horrible tempter!" he laughs. "Right, the next song is from Amy, and she wants to hear David Wilie's "The Baron of Brackley"." Lyrics.

Jack: "You do realise what you've just done... don't you? Made it challenge now." Jack laughed. "Here's a song 'I shatter' while I go tempt JD." There was a slightly evil laugh from Jack. Lyrics.

JD: JD laughs and kisses Jack. "OK, you can tempt me all you like, but I'm gonna just have to ignore you until after the show. So here's a request from Sadako, it's "The Laily worm" by the Spriguns." he laughed and kissed Jack again. "I don't mean ignore, just resist." he whispered laughingly. Lyrics.

Jack: "Well you won't have to resist long, that's the last of the requests. So I'm gonna finish by playing Summer Holiday. Oh looks like no-ones down here to do this next..."

JD: "Hey! We should go on a summer holiday one time. It could be a laugh. Bring the Doctor and all that, and pack off to Barbados for a few days." he laughed. "Well, if anyone wants to do a WART if their very own, just floo in and we'll let everyone know. Floo in anyway, we'd love to hear from you guys. Now Jack, about the temptation." the sound of a nice long kiss can be heard.

Jack: "The colony, the system or the place on Earth? Any of which I might not be able to go back to..."

"Hey! Hands!" A pause. "Did I say stop?"

JD: "I'm sure we can find somewhere." he laughed. "Now that they think that we're doing dirty stuff, we'll sign off. Send all of your next radio requests to Cooper. This has been a lot of fun people, and we’ve had some great songs, so floo in and talk to us! Bye!"
