Owl to Professor Homsar

I have a problem, and the headmistress directed me in your direction for help. I hope you’ll have some advice on the matter:

The problem: My brother Ender has applied. That is all well and good, but, for whatever reason (I suppose some quirk in the system that brought us here), he is from my past. That is, I know things about his future that he does not, which places me in an odd, and potentially dangerous, situation. If I were to tell him, for instance, the things he accomplishes, if he then returned to his own time, would such accomplishments cease to be a given? The things my brother did/will do/whichever are rather important to the survival of the human race, so I would hate to compromise them.

This is all complicated by the fact that I’ve told various people of my brother’s accomplishments, so I can’t rely only ommyself to keep them a secret, if such secrecy is necessary.

The Headmistress says that time travel issues are part of the Arithmancy curriculum, so I very much hope you’ll know something about what I should do.

Yours,
Peter Wiggin
