Welcome, little mortals, to WART Seventeen! I, Eros, the ever-lovely god of love, sex and beauty, will be your host for tonight. Of course, since you silly little things can’t handle your own love lives properly, there are a lot of unhappy love songs scheduled. Erm...Eros? Listen, mate...I normally wouldn't do this kind of thing--you know, call in on a radio show...but...I--you're just the kind of person...or god...or whatever you are...that I need to talk to.

Let me cut to the chase.

My question is, how do you know if you're in love?

You get your heart broken and THEN you know.

But wouldn't it be too late then?

Too late for what? Jealous murder is always an option. It's never too late to kill in the name of love.

No, no. I could never kill--

Look, that's not what it's about. It's not about him--er, the person in question being with anyone else. It's more that...

Look, the person in question is a really good friend, right? But then someone suggest--or, rather, the thought crossed my mind that I might be in love with the person. And now I'm all confused. I've never been in love. So how do I work out whether my feelings are love or what I thought they were before the person suggest--I mean, before the thought crossed my mind...which was more of a friendly love (with certain benefits) sort of thing?

I think you should go to bed with them, then see how jealous you get when they sleep with someone else.

Wouldn't a threesome solve the jealousy problem, though?

Unless you found yourself wanting to possess them exclusively.

Are you poly?

I definitely want to possess him. It's been such a long time....

Poly? Is that a certain kind of magical creature? No, I'm an Ani--uh...anonymous flooer....

Poly is short for polyamorous. Do you believe in having relationships with multiple people at once?

I guess that depends what you mean by relationships. I have sex with a lot of people in various groupings of two and higher.

Well, how do you feel about this friend of yours? What do you want from him?

I...Well, I definitely want to continue having sex with him, on at least an occasional basis.

Other than that...I mean, he's my closest friend, and I know we...well, this may not sound very manly, but I know we love each other, so I don't think I'd want to change anything there.

But definitely more sex.
