After receiving Seto's last note, Tom waited a good day or so before finally emerging from the Chamber. Viane still perched on his shoulder, he made his way to the only room he knew he would be accepted and could talk about the issue at hand with someone who wanted judge him or the situation.
Slipping through the shadows of the school, ducking into crevices, and making certain he wasn't being followed, he made his way to Slughorn's dorm and knocked quickly.
He could talk this out of his system with someone who was neutral.
