Vincent landed in a crouch, the sugar and butter only slowing him down for the first second or two. Cerberus was useless covered in sweet smelling slime as it was, but he still pointed his gun around the room warily, then lowered and placed it in the holster strapped to his thigh. He didn't remember this place, but it was familiar

And then there was the matter of arriving in his clothes. If it was unusual, then the reason for it must have been because his clothes, like his cloak, were soul-bound. They made up Chaos' armour and Galian Beat's only clothing amongst other things.
It was penance, to bear such monstrous curiosities.
"I am not most people," he said eventually. His eyes wandered, though he kept the boy before him. "This place is familiar..."

And that, somehow, clicked into place subconsciously as well. He frowned, then looked down at his cloak. he began working the belts holding it closed with his flesh hand, his leather glove making it somewhat slippery and harder that it should have been. He wasn't going to take him gauntlet off to have the use of his other hand either (it wasn't really his anyway, Hojo had taken that from him when he'd shot him). he looked up to the boy as he worked, studying his body language for signs of hostility.

Matt's eyes bugged out. Of course he recognized Vincent! What self respecting video gamer hadn't played Final Fantasy 7?
But yeah, best to keep the squeeing to himself. Vincent is real. And armed.

Something in the popcorn room smelled like a demon. While Kurama knew that didn't mean anything, and knew that no one he remembered from his homeworld (no one demonic, anyway) had popped, he still peeked in with a little bit of hope.
Alas, in vain. Interesting man, though. Human, and... other things. He worried, briefly, for his own safety when he noticed the Big Fucking Gun holstered to the guy's hip. After that, he wondered if he looked anything like what a guy packing that kind of heat hunted. Maybe he should run and scream.
"Nice arm," he said instead, noticing the glint of metallic gold. "Biomechanical, or just fancy armer?"

Vincent shrank into himself, barely managing to not bodily react to the question. He turned and looked at the...man the voice had come from. He wouldn't call him a man really. He looked like something that would walk out of Hojo's lab. Galian stirred at the sight of him. Vincent wasn't sure why.
"Armour," he replied eventually, his tone even. It was mostly true anyway. It was Chaos' arm in place of his own, and Chaos had natural armour.
He watched him warily over the high collar of his cloak, his lips pulling down slightly.

He could smell something... like the sound of a warning growl. He wasn't sure he liked it.

His eyes rose to his ears, watched them for subtle movements that would prove they were natural.
