Vincent landed in a crouch, the sugar and butter only slowing him down for the first second or two. Cerberus was useless covered in sweet smelling slime as it was, but he still pointed his gun around the room warily, then lowered and placed it in the holster strapped to his thigh. He didn't remember this place, but it was familiar.
It certainly wasn't Omega's insides, which was where he had been last. His hand, the one with the gauntlet on it, covered his chest, over where Lucrecia had placed the protomateria. Chaos was silent, as were his other three demons.
He stood and looked down at himself, pulled his hair around with his flesh hand to inspect what he was covered with. He smelt like he should have been at a festival in Kalm, like the one he had been in the midst of before this whole mess had started. His cloak would need washing, and he wasn't sure he wanted to contemplate about how well his leather pants or the numerous buckles on his outfit would fare. His lips pulled down a little, hidden behind his cloak.
He wrung out what he could, looking up every so often, trying to remember why this place was so familiar, yet he couldn't remember being here before. He needed a bath, then he needed to find out what happened and where he was.
Had he failed? Had Omega risen?
Was he finally dead?
