"I'm the Tick, I already told you my name, chum!"

"Bullshit! That is not your real name! If I wrote that in my Death Note, would you keel over and die?"

"It is so! I'm The Tick, I defend the City against evil! What's a death note?" he asked suspiciously, "It sounds.. evil."

"No! Of course you wouldn't! And you know why?" Ryuk leaned in close. "Cause that's not your real name!"

"It isn't?" He scratched his head, his antennae waving distractedly. "I could have sworn it was.."

"Say, who are you?"

"I'm Ryuk! I'm a god of death! Take off that mask!" Ryuk reached for it.

"Hey! No fair grabby!" Tick backed out of Ryuk's reach, knocking the podium over and scattering paper and the dictaquill in his wake.

"Come on!" Ryuk was very grabby.

"NO fair you dink! A superhero needs their mask!"

If Ryuk wasn't careful, the Tick might get grabby back!

"Got it! Now take it off!" Ryuk tugged on the mask.

The mask refused to budge even though Ryuk was yanking on it. Tick reached up to grab Ryuk and hold him at arm's length.

"Mask stealing evildoer, you face the Tick!"

"So?" Ryuk didn't know what he was getting into.

[tick_justice]

"I am mighty! I am justice! And you can't have my mask!" He tossed Ryuk across the room, enough to make him move but without the kind of force that might say, imbed him in the wall.

It was funny, though. And it had been enough for the apple in Ryuk's pouch thing to fall out of it and smash on the floor.

Ryuk's eyes bugged out. "My...my...MY APPLE!"

Tick stood over a shocked Ryuk, hands on his hips, the usual pose for a superhero of his stature. "Serves you right, mask-grabbing fiend! A hero is never parted from his costume! That's like taking the frosting of good off the donut of nice! It just doesn't work!"
