"OH MY GOSH GIANT BUG!" Poor Sunflora, thinking she's in trouble again.

The Tick backed up to keep from stepping on the little flower. He bent down, "Say.. you don't happen to know someone by the name of El Seed, do you?"

Sunflora peeked out from under the table. "Noooooo...."

He looked relieved, "Okay, you look a little like him. You're not a supervillain, are you? You don't look evil."

"NO!" Sunflora looked horrified. "I'm not an outlaw. I fight them!"

"Oh keen! A flower of Justice springing up to fight the weeds of badness! Flower of Justice, I am the Tick! Protector of the.. the.." he looked around, finally realizing he wasn't exactly sure where he was.

"Where are we anyway?"

"We're at Hogwarts!" Sunflora said with a grin. "It's a school to learn magic, and there are lots of humans here!"

"A school? Freaky! Is there a need for justice here? Are there criminals to fight?"

"Ummm...well, there are some not nice people here." Sunflora guessed that that was what the Tick was asking.

"Then my little floral chum, we shall root out the weeds of badness! SPOON!" Tick charged towards the doorway, fully expecting Sunflora to follow him. The magic that keeps students in the sorting room was about to strike.

Tick ran into the open doorway and was flung back against the wall with enough force to smash the wall.

Sunflora giggled. "SPOOOOOON!" she cried, finally emerging from under the table. She didn't run into the wall, though. That would be silly.

Tick sat up, brushing the rubble from his shoulders. He stared at the open doorway, clearly confused.

"An insidious trap, an open door that isn't. Are you trapped here too little chum?"

"Oh, no, this is a test! A talking hat tests you, and if you pass its test, it lets you stay at this school!"

"The Talking Hat? Is it a villian?"

He shook his head, the one or two active brain cells starting to fire. "Wait.. test? What kind of test?"

"It asks you questions, and you answer them, and it decides which house you should be in! I'm in Hufflepuff. It matches me!" All other symbolism Sunflora tended to forget, what mattered is that Hufflepuff is yellow!

"Hufflepuff house.. yes! It sounds like a house for Justice and Nice!"

He looked around, "Um.. what kind of questions?" He didn't exactly do well on standardized tests.
