Coraline came over to Rika after she'd put the hoe away. "I liked your dance."

"Mii~! Thank you." Moving over to the blankets Rika picks out enough cotton for both of them and offers half to Coraline. "I hope everyone who participated had a lot of fun today."

She took the cotton, with a smile. "Well, I did. And Sunflora did when she got the hang of things. ...and I think the man in the leather shorts did." Beowulf, presumably, since he'd shouted it so often. Coraline had been a little stunned.

"That is good. If I'm still here next year I'll try to have more games for everyone to play." A water balloon fight is good, but now that people know about the festival there can be more games for a potentially bigger audience.

Coraline nodded, looking down at her cotton ball. "Do we just drop this into the lake?" She was still half-hoping to see the squid.

"Yes," Rika confirms and squats down to place the cotton ball into the water. Dropping can be done too, but the important thing is just to get the ball into the water.

"I hope the squid doesn't mind," this is said cheerfully, even if that is a somewhat serious concern.

"It might not notice, if it lives right down at the bottom."

Coraline wasn't a religious person, but she did think a small prayer before she placed her own cotton ball in the water. This is for me to get home safely and my parents to be safe and not find me missing.

"That is true." Rika also wants to go home, but she prays that no one will die in that final world. Going against a military group means that this may be impossible, but this is no time to give up hope.

Rika doesn't allow her face to show that she's thinking such serious thoughts.

Coraline watched her cotton ball float away. "And the lake's full of plants and things already. Cotton is biodegradable, it's not like plastic."

"I suppose as long as the cotton isn't harming anything there should be no problems." Rika is glad that the cotton is floating away at all without a rivers current.

"It's only a little bit. Compared to the size of the lake."
