Watanagashi Festival-Night [Open RP]

When the sun was setting Rika called back some house elves to clean up the buckets and brooms while she set up a trail of paper lanterns from the stage to the lake. Anyone that wanted to help was welcome to. Once that was cleaned up Rika changes into the proper dress for a miko in the dressing room made behind the stage. After she changes, Rika then sends a reminder owl to Ginko, whom she met while she walked around the lake and he offered to help. More paper lanterns are set up on the stage, which now has a big drum on it near the back and a small pile of cotton blankets front stage.

With the sun completely set fireworks are shot off and the drum is beat in a slow, yet steady, rhythm to signify that it is almost time for the dance to start. Because the Cotton Drifting Festival is something from Hinamizawa, Rika has a booth set up with brochures that give a summary of the Watanagashi festival. The brochure explains that the festival is normally a celebration to Hinamizawa's local god Oyashiro, but for Hogwarts the festival is just something to enjoy. And that the cotton can be used for general prayers or the cotton ball they receive could be seen as a representation of putting all the bad stuff from themselves into the cotton ball and drifting that stuff away.

After waiting a bit in front of the short stack of cotton blankets with her ritual hoe, which has a golden head and red ropes that tie bells to the hoe, Rika thinks that enough time has passed to gather all the participants that wish to drift cotton and/or see her ritual dance. Ginko, who has his back turned to the audience beats the drum a final time and Rika begins.

Rika grips the hoe with both hands, moving the hoe to a perfectly horizontal position, before lifting it above her head while doing a little spin. Rika then sharply swings the hoe down and turns around. She lets go of the hoe with one hand and make a sweeping motion over until she is facing the audience again. Going back to the hoe she turns again, now facing the blankets and swings the hoe over her shoulders to rip open the top blanket. She ends the dance by bowing to the audience and announces that they may now take a handful of cotton to ball up and float in the lake.

Rika lays the fake hoe she made with magic behind the stage and Ginko starts the cotton drifting by collecting his and heads towards the lake. Rika eventually makes her way down to the lake with a cotton ball of her own.
