Oh yeah, Mai knew that look. That was the look Kaede gave her whenever she'd really messed up...times ten.

He wasn't about to tell her that it seemed that no one actually did get squibbed, that no matter how pathetic a specimen she was, he wouldn't have the chance to bind her to the slab in his little hut off-campus and get creative with the odds and ends he'd been collecting.
