Kusuriyuri knew neither exactly what pie or ice cream was, despite the house elves efforts to have him eat 'proper' food. However, he trusted A and did enjoy peaches. He entered the common room silently, watching A interact with River a moment before intruding.
Kusuriyuri bowed. "Thank you," he says softly. "It has been a while. All is well?" he asks while picking up the fork and turning it between his fingers. The device is still a little awkward to him.
"Very well. I found my brother." She watched him examine the fork, a kind of bemused smile on her face. Rui Wen was once again scaling her hair, blinking at the bright colors Kusuriyuri wore. She put up a hand to her mouth, saying in a conspiratory whisper, "I'm a girlfriend now!" She seemed very proud of this fact.
Peach isn't my favorite, but A is one of the ...now four...people I care about here, so I head into the common room. I'm not sure who 'River' is, but it should be interesting. I've got a couple of chocolate bars in my vest. And, since talking to Near, I feel calmer, not quite myself again, but getting there.
A greets Mello with a smile. "I, I'm glad you came. River and I made the pie and the peach ice cream. There is vanilla ice cream, but the house elves made that." He points to the table where the food is laid out. "The peaches are from the garden, but I'm sure you guessed that."
"Your garden's come a long way," I say. I thought it was a little early for peaches, but I'm not completely sure. I really haven't bothered to look up a lot on gardening. "Who is River? I haven't met anyone by that name."
"Maybe just a small bowl," A told him cautiously. "But it is not chocolate, so I don't see why you shouldn't taste it. River and I had a good time making it, and maybe some of that goodness can be tasted." He scooped a little of the peach ice cream into a bowl and set it on the floor for Wishbone.
A very pissed off cat was trying to get to A's ankles, but was being held back by a worried red-eyed kid. "No, mean B, no hurting A, you can't..." he kept murmuring.
River recoiled from the cat, its mind was human-smart and as mean and nasty as Early's had been. The boy holding him was... well, the complete opposite. And, lucky for him, all of the cat's fur was hiding his hands. For now, anyway.
River smiled politely at the boy and offered him a bowl of ice cream.
River worked swiftly, crouching and moving so the hand holding the bowl of ice cream gestured towards B, and her free hand dropped down on the scruff of 'Mean' B's neck, holding him in place.
"You're a bad kitty," she said very softly. She glanced at B, noticing his hands. She briefly thought of retracting the offer of ice cream, but that would close the door on negotiations. Besides, all the badness was the cat, now. All that was left in him was remorse.
"A said not to trust you," she murmured. "I don't, but here's your ice cream."

Beyond took the opportunity to dive for River's ankles instead, making B let go.
"MEAN B NO!"

He slipped in and eyed the food. Vanilla, for sure, but the other one...could that be peach?

"If, if we've met, maybe you remember that I am A." And since it would be rude not to, "Would you like some ice cream?"
