Rose looks a little surprised her name has spread thus far. It's like there's 'The Legend of Rose', which weary travellers tell each other on long cold nights to remind them that at least they don't have to deal with her. They may have lost limbs, water, food and/or relatives, but there is no Rose today.
Then they would go to sleep, happy, and wake up and wish there was a Rose to decorate their cave.
'I am,' she says, twitching her nose and rubbing the soot between her fingers.
"The talking hat suggested I speak with you about creating an ant farm. I think it could be an interesting project."
He wants to study them. If the Formics were to ants as humans are to apes... it might help him get past some kinks in his theories of Formic military organisation.
