[Application] Soichiro Yagami, Death Note [SPOLIERS]
[[OOC: permission from the resident L and Light have both been granted.
Soichiro is taken from when he died, which is five years after L and Light were taken from. He is not aware of this yet, but when he is, he'll try to keep as much from them as possible.
Soichiro also still has his shinigami eyes, meaning he will be able to see a person's true name (and lifespan, but since I'm too lazy to convert from earth to shinigami time, fuck it to that). So if someone goes by an alias, drop a note letting me know their real name. Also, if they're already dead, note that.
Is this heaven or hell?
Soichiro Yagami looked around bewilderedly at the rather drab looking room. If this was the afterlife, he wasn't impressed. Then again, this may be punishment for keeping a Death Note, even if he never used it.
He sat down in a nearby chair, having nothing better to do. He felt something tickle his arm. Thinking nothing of it, he brushed it away, until it became more persistent. He looked down at a rather impatient Dictaquill pointing at his application.
"The afterlife is a magic school?" Eh, he'll roll with it.
1. What is your favorite cheese? Why is it your favorite?
"I don't really eat cheese that often. Not my favorite food. But if I have to pick one cheese, I suppose Swiss is a good answer.
2. Who would you kill first, Barney or Carrottop?
"I've had quite enough of killing, thank you. And I know what the punishments are for various charges of murder, which I'd rather avoid."
3. What time is it where you are?
Soichiro got a bit quiet. "2009. I don't think I'll forget that date ever again."
4. If you were Albus Dumbledore returned from the dead, which member of the Order of the Phoenix would you sexually harass? How would you harass them? If you are Albus Dumbledore, please answer as if you were Sirius Black.
These are the most ridiculous application questions ever.
"And you think the punishment for sexual harassment is any better than for murder? I'm a police chief. Or....was. I should be setting a good example for my subordinates, is my point."

A. Slytherin - please state the clever, witty name of the bar in which you bartend, in the dark.
"Interesting question." Soichiro thought for a second. "Nothing wrong with using 'Yagami's', but that isn't really witty, now is it. I could say 'Kira', but I know if Ryuzaki's here he'll think I've lost my mind."
B. Gryffindor - Debate whether Harry should ultimately end up married to Fred or George. Use examples from a variety of world mythologies to bolster your argument.
Now Soichiro looked baffled and slightly embarrassed. "Ah, well, eh, that really isn't my place to say, is it? I try not to get involved in the personal affairs of people."
C. Ravenclaw - You guys are supposed to be smart. Explain why my desk is inundated with paperwork at all times, even though I’m constantly disposing of it.
"You have many cases that all need to get solved. Or one case, with many victims. That was the case with my desk, before...well, everything happened." Honestly, it'd take a while to explain 'everything'.
D. Hufflepuff - Prove you are not useless.
"I'm a-now former, I suppose-chief of police." He pondered whether it would be prudent to mention the shinigami eyes, but figured that it couldn't hurt. Wherever he is, it's life after death. "And I can know a person's name just by looking at them. I'd rather not explain how, but I can."

Do not threaten us rather than offering a bribe. A threat indicates you either don't really want to be here, or don't have enough sense to answer the question properly.
