As it was Thanksgiving, said kitchen currently housed a number of simmering & boiling pots and pans, an oven with a turkey just about done, and two Bennet women, wearing aprons, and covered in flour.
A lone Bennet man, banned from the Thanksgiving-day kitchen since in Cranberry Sauce Incident of 1993, was waiting in the living room, where he couldn't burn anything.
Sandra opened the oven, checking on the turkey's internal temperature with a meat thermometer. Perfect. She turned off the oven and clapped her hands together, smiling at Claire.
"I think we're all set, hon. Do me a favor and go wash up? You can also tell your Dad he can start setting the table."
Sandra would, of course, correct all of the table placements when Noah wasn't looking. But at least he got to do something!
