Chicago's first gay marriage! ((Closed RP for Kowalski and Turnbull))

Aug 20, 2007 23:24

Like many of his fellow students, Turnbull had unwittingly attended the large scale wedding in the Great Hall. Like them, he'd also been informed, quite abruptly, that he was now married and that he was to be moved to a village outside the castle. Discovering he'd been duped into matrimony (while not even knowing to whom he was married, no less!) had left him stunned, and he had gone along with the flow of house-elves blindly to his asssigned tent.

Now, however, the shock was beginning to wear off, and was being replaced with worry. Terrible thoughts about who (or what, given some of the rumors he'd heard about the other students here) he was married to kept him pacing the floor, turning around every few steps or so, when his long-legged strides brought him to the edge of the tent. This was accompanied by anxious wringing of his hands and an absentminded litany of 'Oh, dear's as he nervously wondered what he was in for. Frankly, if the tent wasn't so sparsely furnished, he surely would've carelessly broken something by now, preoccupied as he was.

Eventually, he manages to calm himself down, somewhat- better conduct is expected of a Mountie, and there was no need to be so impolite to his new wife. After all, she wasn't responsible for the actions of an obviously deranged Hat. He ponders the fact that he possibly should have let the Hat sleep with his Stetson if this was the sort of retaliation he could expect, and wonders about what other cruel and unusual retributions he can expect in the future. While thinking about this, he stands near the center of the tent, trying to appear at ease and relaxed but failing miserably.
