I've met you before, in one way or another, I think. A momentary meeting, probably. You certainly seem familiar, and--yes, I'm quite sure it was you.
Perhaps you remember me. It was Hogswatch; I probably appeared in the middle of your food (my clothing had all sorts of stuff on it afterwards, at any rate); I was close to death, and I possessed an unusual sword. I seem to recall that I regained consciousness, and then someone that I believe was you started asking me questions about bright lights and deceased relatives.
*blinks and scrutinizes him as politely as possible for a moment*
Oh yes! I thought I'd seen you somewhere before.
((*hangs head in shame* It's been years since I've read Hogfather. Shoot me now for forgetting they'd seen each other before. And sorry for the double post, too. That extra 'and' was bugging the hell out of me.))
You don't even you remember?! You sent me 6000 miles by magic, made, explore round world for you, and sent me into space! And you don't you even remember me!
Because it's getting to the point where just breathing the fumes in the Ravenclaw common room can put your blood alcohol over the limit and I'd be annoyed if that problem was compounded.
We aren't sure. We know what to do with it, certainly. There's casting spells and illusions and fireballs and summoning things from the Dungeon Dimensions but we really have no idea how it works. That's something we've been studying at the University.
*sighs and waves his hand vaguely*
It probably all comes down to quantum.
Incidentally, do you know how the magic here works?

By some chance, are you from Unseen University?

It's good to see there's another wizard around here. At least another of the sort I'm used to.

And I shall invite you into my own house, Ravenclaw. I've certainly voted that way quite often lately. I hope I am not growing biased.

((I fail at explaining Discworld magic.))

Uh... well... hmm. You say a few latin phrases and wave a wand around, and then pray for the best.
It probably all comes down to quantum, as well. Or the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost.

*digs out a pencil and notebook from a pocket and begins scribbling down notes*
And who're the Father, Son, and Holy Ghost?
