Elizabeth knocked gently on the doorframe to Narcissa's study. She was holding a book of charms with her other hand. "Pray excuse me. Are you busy, Professor Malfoy?"

Narcissa looked up at the knock and shook her head in the negative, setting aside what she had been working on. "No, please come in, Miss...?" She waved the young woman in and gestured to the chair across from her desk.

"Bennet. Elizabeth Bennet." Lizzy carefully swept her skirts out and sat down. "I am sorry to trouble you, but I was informed that you were the Charms teacher, and that I should apply to you for aid, should I require assistance in such a field of study."

"No trouble at all, Miss Bennet," Narcissa said evenly, tapping her quill lightly on her desk as she studied Lizzy for a moment. "Now what can I do for you?"

"I have been making a private study on my own, yet I am at something of a loss as to how to correctly produce a Cheering Charm," Lizzy explained, opening the book at its bookmark and glancing over the text again. "Can you offer any advice on such a subject?"
