Han Solo, Star Wars (OT & EU)

*Han stumbled slightly, blinking in shock. Spinning, he snatched his trusty DL-44 from the holster, eyeing the room warily. This was definitely not Anoth, nor even Myrkr... for that matter, this place wasn't much like anywhere he'd seen. Well, maybe a little like that temple on Yavin but still, distinct differences... notably the lack of ships

"Those are some incredibly... inventive curses," Tyrion remarks. "Do other people use them, too, or do you just make up words depending on the situation you find yourself in?"

[first_shot]

*Han looks at Tyrion like he's crazy*

"Well of course other people use them."

Tyrion nods, then indicates the blaster. "How does that work?" he wants to know. Coming from a quasi-medieval world, Han's weapon is way far removed from anything he's ever seen.

*Han glanced down at the blaster in his hand briefly before grinning*

"This, is the DL-44 heavy blaster, I've made a lot of special modifications myself but in essence, it's similar to a slug thrower. However, the blaster uses a combination of gas and power to fire blaster bolts, basically high powered laser beams."

*Han holds up the pistol slightly, geturing to the power pack and gas chamber*

"Huh. Sounds quite a bit more useful than, say, a sword," Tyrion remarked. He would have to find out more later, but for now... "Any idea where I should vote you?"

[first_shot]

*Han shrugs, thinking of Luke and Leia's lightsabers* "Guess it depends on the sword but I've always said one is no match for a good blaster at your side. As for this voting thing... I dunno, someone said something about Gryffindor being for the brave, sounds good to me, I'm not so much for some of that other stuff."
