Migrating from Netscape 7.2 to Firefox 3

I'm an old fart when it comes to browsers.
After about 5 (five) years I now decided to retire my trusted Netscape 7.2 browser, pretty much the last "classic" Netscape browsers still including Netscape Mail and not using the IE6 rednering engine. Yes, I finally gave in after using my NS browsers all the time from 1996 to 2009. 13 years. Loyal, stupid - or what?
However switching to FF3 causes me some grief still.
1) What the fuck are they thinking with this idiotic "awesome bar"? One of the first things I did was getting the oldbar plugin and setting the about_config setting so it emulates a classic adress bar. I do NOT want my friggin adressbar to be the search. Thats what the search field or a google task is for. What teh fuck? And no way to easily switch it to FF2/Mozilla/NS7 behavior? Wow, open-source my ass. The devs are *worse* browser nazis then Microsoft. Seriously.
2) Got m beloved theme back with using Orthodox plugin and Netscape symbols I found somewhere on the web. Much more patalbel. But why can't i change the name of the browser anymore? I used to be able to set "MOzilla Firefox" to "dilapated piece of crap" if I wanted to. Does not seem to work anymore. See above, dev nazis and whatever.
3) scaling graphics. Call me oldschool, but if i get to find a GIF on the web that explicitly states: "show me at twice my original size" i want it to be shown that way. What does F3 do? "Oh. let me scale it for you and send it through a ton of filter to smooth out the edges! Pretty, right?".
No. The edges were intentionally not smooth. Fuck it. How can this be set to "not interpolate graphics"? Maybe in about: config again, but it would be MUCH appreciated if the Nazi devs of hell would put such functionality again in the options. Or somewhere accessible. Or - god forbid - make the default the old behavior to just scale and interpolate graphics.
In the end:
FF3 is better then IE6 or IE7.
But if I got to choose: NS7.2 is still the shit for me. I will miss it. And those idiotec FF3 devs... well, they are not better then Microsoft devs in any way. Probably worse. Yuck.
