whoever can tell me what it is about I will give 2 dollars to.  I am dead serious.  This is the easiest way to make 2 bucks EVER.  Just tell me what you think this song is about, and I will tell you if it is right.  Good Luck!

If these lyrics were about what you say they are about, yes, perhaps the writer should have been shot. But it is not. So no 2 dollars for you.

However, religion does play a role in the political theme being debated above. Think more basic..and along the lines of
"no more need to cry, but no joy or passion"

Then this band mustn't have understood the lyrics of John Lennon's imagine, because if they are not talking about religion then they are clearly misquoting him and using his verses out clearly out of context.

Part of Imagine was about a society without religion and class (truly as Marxist as it can be).

So either way, whoever wrote these lyrics is a poor sod who should've done his homework on the short-bus instead of not doing it all.

Religion, an opiate for the masses.

Marxism...the fundamental ideology behind ___________.

Look over the lyrics again, are you seeing it now?

Or must I delve further into the symbolism behind the words love and lullaby.
