Slowly I begin to accept the idea of science as a description or interpretation of the world, not as THE answer and root of every question. The more physics I take, the closer I read every textbook, the easier and smoother it becomes to say that science is not efficient or anywhere near complete in its explanations. It doesn't actally explain anything; it only defines it in terms of something more complex, stretching between disciplines, forming a web of confusion and small thread-pieces of the original query.
I'm not trying to say that I think photosenthisis is a sham. More like, the purpose of learning about photosenthisis is not to know why a plant lives, but how, and then to see how something like photosynthesis (this is becoming a bad example pretty quickly) is common everywhere in a metaphorical way. I don't think I can explain it any better, and I'm pretty sure you know what I mean. I'm damn sure one of you does, because I steal things and say them backwards.
