Because Lee & Kara didn't end up together. THIS. A SHIP ISN'T EVERYTHING Y'ALL. (lol rich, coming from the girl who's just spazzing over Caprica/Baltar right now). But yeah, ITA. BSG really isn't about the shipping. It's about the journey and the emotions and ALL the relationships and everything. To reduce it to a ship's just killing it.
I think the pidgeon was an embodiment of angel!Kara? idk. I'm pretty lost with that.
Well, it's also channelling LOTR with the multiple endings. xD
I'm with you. I'm a hardcore Lee/Kara shipper, but I did know that they wouldn't have a happy ending together. Their last scene is VERY beautiful, and very sad, and very K/L. And as you say, this was NOT a show about Lee AND Kara. The people watching it because of that, were doing it WRONG XD
I do think that the pigeon is totally a metaphor. At first, he's trying to make the pigeon leave (= all the problems they had at first), then, when he just stops and accepts it and they're in peace, the pigeon leaves, just as happened with them. I LOVED THAT PART 'CAUSE I FRAKKIN' LOVE METAPHORS XD
RDM cameo... I totally hated Stephanie Meyer when she did the same thing in her film... and I loved RDM when he did it. I'm such an hypocritical person, LOOOOOOLZ. But I don't see it as a big deal xD and as you say, WE recognize him. Most of the people... I'm sure they haven't XD
It wasn't necessary, but it was kinda funny. I liked it xDDD
you're just like me, I just couldn't write down deeper thoughts XDDD Just... BSG >>>>>>>>>>>>>> ALL.

this finale made me realize how much I like Baltar/Six!
I just didn't picture Kara having a happy ending at all anyway so it felt right to me. It's bittersweet...
the 150,000 years later thing reminds me of the Harry Potter epilogue... "okay, it's cheesy and useless and I'm not supposed to like it but strangely part of me does" haha
