i think that the music we're doing now is definately harder than when we started this year.....but i don't like most of it....it 's just boring. i like the french piece (surprisingly, because of my personal vendetta against all things french..well that's an overstate ment..YOU GET IT!)..and..i like Frostiana pieces....and i think that's all (i'm not sure cuz my music would be at school). but we don't do anything big and awesome like they do at honors chorus or all-state, i thoroughly enjoy those times of year. newho.. he already told us that we juniors who will be considered "honors chorale" next year will have to conduct a piece...but before i knew that i wanted to ask him if i could. I have a few in mind...like a Britten or Gorezki.. or Rorem....i can't decide what i would want to do cuz doyle has all my music from GS..

the "mixed intentions" part means that people don't care and don't try...and if they really don't care they don't need to be wasting my time and if they do, then they need to grow up. so yea, i'm annoyed at people for not taking it seriously sometimes and i wonder why some of them are at weaver at all.

you care..but that doesn't mean YOU try all the time. and its high school, a lot of people are going to have some apathy, wherever you go. you need to grow up and stop how everyone needs to be better the meet your needs. i am not entirely convinced you are taking things 100% seriously. your heart is in to it...but not the effort, completely anyway. If you were completely dedicated i think you would get over the fact that you don't get to sing everything you love 100% of the time and you would maybe be a little more open, because the songs we sing are awesome, and i have yet to hear you say about a concert, i like most of the music. and i really dont' care if you dont' like the music, but don't be bitchin about it all the time, because I HAPPEN TO LIKE The music, and when you say stuff like i want to kill this composer...and this composer was nuts, and i hate this song, and i hate this composer, this is stupid..the list goes on...it ruins the effect for me. if you hate chorus so much, then do something about it. i am proud of our chorus class, i'm like the music, and i think if you are really looking closely you are right in there with those who are...wasting time and need to grow up.

mle you are being rediculous. I know that highschoolers have apathy, I'm one of them. I may not put 100% in all the time, but i always learn my part and carry it to the best of my ability. I may say, "I don't like this piece", but I still put as much energy into it as i would a piece that i do like. and i distinctly remember hearing myself say about our last concert that it was awesome (overall, not that i LOVED every single piece).. i'm glad you think our music is awesome, some of it is...we just have differing opinions on a lot of it. and when we do retarded music like that duck, goose, chicken, horse thing...yea there wasn't really anything i appreciated about that piece except for the laughs we got from the audience. besides, usually when i say i hate this composer or this all sucks or whatever, i'm exaggerating and you are taking that way too seriously. i may goof off sometimes in class, but i also know how to get down to work. so basically, you need to chill and get over me bitching about one frustrating day in chorus.
