...MY BLOG!!!!..lol..
they've sent me that youth leadership thing every year since 7th grade after the TIP thing....they sound pretty cool, especially the abroad one...but there are other programs that interest me more and cost less....
i want to study voice in italy at the Orazio Vecchi conservatory of music.. NOW! i'm so sick of highschool, i want to go to college right freakin' now and get some sort of degree so i can get in the master's program at that conservatory. ugh..i could kill someone i swear. i have that feeling where something is eating my insides and like i'm constantly clenching every muscle in my body.
being stuck here doing mediocre/mostly boring music in a chorus full of people with mixed intentions on their musical futures, which makes us work slower btw, drives me insane. weaver should have master classes for those of us who are more serious and more advanced and who just care more...i'd really like to direct a piece at our last concert this year.. i want to train to better my vocal technique and performance, but i feel restrained by the limitations of our chorus, as well as lack of family support.. (emily i told you my dad told me i should study voice in italy...i mentioned it today and he said "heh, well that's a bit ambitious"...they don't think that singing is a "safe" career choice because of all the "what if" situations and all the competition)..it's like, they know i'm good, but singing professionally is just dangerous because it's no guarantee to a future. anyway, just thought i'd have a little vent entry here..
btw...."Nessun Dorma" from Turandot~Puccini is officially my favorite aria...it's awesome...it's on my new Pavarotti cd (i'll thank you for not laughing)....and i want to train operattically so i can sing that at school before i graduate....may not happen but it would be awesome if it did...
