Sunny Garden, Dolls and Imminent Ooh Shiny

Ahh, my cold is *finally* gone, well, apart from the odd coughing bout but overall I'm doing much better, though I ended up not going out this week - was planning to wander by the river and maybe have lunch out yesterday but it was a little too warm for comfort for me, and although it would have been nice I wasn't desparate to go out. As it happens I'm glad I stayed home, had a productive morning taking photographs of the various dolls with my proper digital camera, and the light was just right and I found new places in the Den to show them off at their best.

And then in the afternoon I escorted mum outside (she's very wobbly still and needs help up and down the makeshift steps dad made from some left over decorative bricks we had lying arond) and she helped me plant sunflower seeds! Not sure if its a bit late for them, the packet said plant them in wee pots in April and then transfer the seedlings outside but quite frankly the one that grew at random from seeds the birds dropped from the feeder did just fine on its own so I'm assuming the same will apply. I just made a shallow trench with my hoe, scattered the seeds in, covered them over and then let mum water them in. Um, and giggling madly because the hose we have drips slightly at the join between hose and nozzle, so she got wet feet the other day, and had clearly tried to fix it -and got *soaked*, whole dress saturated, lucky it was so warm. She got wet feet again too... *giggle*

I had fun with the camera again too, took one of the dolls into the garden and took some photos of her amongst the clematis, the light and the pose and the pretty pink flower worked so well, I'm really pleased with the result. I'll only put one pic up here, the rest are destined for my A Doll's Day blog in a few days time, as I already did a big post with another doll today.

Ooh, and I'm getting my Nexus 7 sooner than planned, not going out this week saved some money but Tesco Direct got them back in stock ten pounds less than anyone else, plus I found a voucher online for £15 off a £75 spend, and I'd already got Tesco vouchers, plus mum lent me a little bit til my money comes in next week, and she said I should order it now before Tesco run out again, so I did. Being a dutiful daughter and all :) Should be here Monday at which point I shall be lost in the land of "oooh shiny", yay :)
