WTF cats?
It's entirely possible that as soon as I post this entry I will be lynched by my housemates.
But WTF is up with everyone loving cats at the moment??
My sister is understandably going on and on about cats at the moment, because she had to leave her cat in America and is upset about it. But two of my housemates, Olwen and Ias, and Dave who has already become an honorary housemate, seem to be cat-mad.
THAT'S OVER HALF MY HOUSE.
I have nothing against cats. Kittens are cute, cats are scarily intelligent and look like they're just waiting for us all to turn our backs before they take over the world and eat our brains.
But... I just don't understand the level of fandom cats are achieving. Puppies are just as adorable, as are bunnies. And I don't get the eerie vibe off them that they're staring at me so intently because they're wondering what my eyes taste like.
I blame LOLcats. Clearly the cats are getting into funny situations and pulling funny faces at every available opportunity so that they will be meme'd and their influence spread across the internet - and then, the world.
