I just ran into one of my friends from college who I haven't seen in months. There was much hugging and high-pitched demanding information on each other's physical wellbeing. It was awesome.
Except then she asked, "Oh! I was just thinking about you the other day! I saw this thing in the cinema that I thought you'd love, what's it called - Twilight?"
... now she knows me as a Geek (that's probably quite literally my label in her head), and I hadn't seen her in ages, so I managed to restrain myself to saying, "Oh... yes... um, I don't actually like that much."
"No?" She looked disappointed.
"No. Really... really not."
"Oh! Because I was going to go see it."
"Oh, I'm still going to see it!"
"... you are?"
"Yeah! Someone needs to laugh in the right places."
She looked very confused already, so I didn't mention that I planned to wear body glitter so I sparkled in the sun.
