Jazz it

Last night it was more computer and Bruce fun as we got Bruce's new jazz production computer going and made the first DVDs with it, and Hobnose tried a beta version of Windows 7. Bruce put together a new AMD machine with lots of memory and hard drive space just for jazz, and I must bark that it's way good! Production with Power Director 7 is fast, little waiting to render when adding videos to the time line and editing, and you can have the disk in an hour.

Hobnose loves to experiment, so she uses a version of Windows for a week or two and then tries something new, copying the stuff she downloaded on to a disk and starting over. This time it's a beta version of the next Windows and it looks like Vista on the desktop, but it has added features. It looks good, and finds all of the operating system's features without any extra drivers being needed. All she has to do is back up any downloads that were made and format and she got something new.

Monday we went to a movie at the library, Christmas In Connecticut, with Barbra Stanwyck. It's a movie made in 1945 right after the war, and Elizabeth finds love with a sailor. Not bad, it was a gentle and innocent light comedy. The library has a nice movie room with a good screen, and it was good to get out for a while. Tonight we have been listening to my old CDs.
