Fine weenk

On Monday we went to K-Mart to look at a speaker system for one of Hob's computers. I always find whatever junk can be used to get me sound, but the Collie wanted something special, and really liked this amp by Hannah Montana, a guitar amp, Ipod, and whatever you can plug in to the line jack amplifier. She liked it but wanted to check what Wal-wafff-Mart would charge, and what other speakers they might have. They had the Hannah Montana system at the same price, and they had other Dura, and the Jensen speakers that cost more.

Next we went to Walgreens to look for cigarette stuff for Werevereen, and see the Roll Over Rover selection. There were 3 Rovers, and they all had Xmas themes and were cute but won't be much fun after December. Still, we had them all down and rolling on the floor to test them, and a lady walking past said it was cute and would be great for a kid. I woofed that Hobnose has one of those at home, and the lady said she was just a kid at heart, and Hob bounced and barked, 'Ah huh, Hobnose is here'.

We have a fascination with Collier Township for some reason.. :) There's a road next to the new Walgreens with a sign that it's 4 miles to the Collier town hall, and it's been something that Boomer has wanted to check out for a while. It goes up and over the parkway, and into rolling hills that used to be farm land, but now has been taken over by mostly town houses on many hills. We went about 10 miles to Oakmont, a small town, and saw things like old houses, silos, and the leaves changing to Fall colors, and it brought back a few memories of Texas.

Hob and Boom went to the tracks late at night to see the TV the Collie had smashed there, Boom had a surprise firework along, a catherine wheel, but it was a cheap one, not coiled fuse, but just rocket engines between two pieces of cardboard.

Tuesday we went to train tracks to see the TV again. In the afternoon, Lynda's friend John came over with food for us, some sandwiches and fruit and vegetables, like an avocado that Hobnose knew make a sandwich from, which was pretty neat. It seems like Lynda's monitor must not be working and we have to look at it.

We walked to thrift store at night, took Hob's scooter, and a really old lawn edger tool. Came back and a scavenger was going at it, looking at the stuff we had thrown out, it was a lady in a pick up truck. Walked to the tracks to see TV again, a new tradition, with Hobnose being all Collie with no shoes on. That's Hobnose, trying something different, walking a mile and a half in the dark being all Dog sweetness and I loved it.

Today Hobnose took a short walk down the street and found an air conditioner that looked pretty good. It is a window unit, and the owner came out and said that it blows air but that it stopped cooling. Hob thought if we can fix it she can use it in her room when it gets hot next year.

We all went to the thrift store to see what we donated and to see what price it was marked. We never saw the scooter, but the lawn edger was marked $25. The cool thing is they finally had the Spitz toy out in the plush box, but the tail was broken, and it's the same as a Dog on wheels that I have, just white where mine is light tan. I got a Zytel wireless router with two antennas, and I have to see what that can do, it looks new and good. I got a clock radio. Hobnose got some cassettes.

After that we went to Wendy's for food and then to the Get Go gas station run by Giant Eagle stores. Boom's card had 40 cents off per gallon, so I filled up for $2.69. Came back and went to 3 P's tobacco for a Hob cigar, and then the real Giant Eagle for food, got some stuff for tacos tonight, and a memory chip that Hobnose wanted, in a Panda bear shape.

At night Hob and Boom went for a bike test to Camp Bow Wow. A few weeks ago the workers put in a new street surface, and it's absolutely smooth to ride on.

It's been a great week!
