Hi! Yesterday Hobnose and Boomer went for a ride on bike and scooter, and tried to go to Camp Bow Wow, but one side of the road was closed and traffic was heavy, so we took a different way. Boom tried Hob's scooter down a hill and got a burn by touching the brake, but it was just a little burn.
The toilet we found? We got it all fixed up and put in yesterday, and it's great! All of the valves and seals were replaced over a few visits to the hardware store, and now there's a 5 gallon oldie of a toilet in the bathroom that works woof right.
For dinner we got gyros at Niki's Pizza and got to see a Pit Bull being walked, a momma Dog who had 10 pups in her first litter. Clifford the big red plush toy was still in the window up the street as he has been for 5 years now, and the door still says 'gay people only' on it.
In the evening Hobnose and Boomer went to a concert in Crafton Park and saw the Karl Lukitsch Band, doing polkas, oldies and country. Hobnose got one of their CDs and on break we went to the baseball field there and played around on video, with Hobnose finding a catcher's glove and being an announcer. We had the diamond all to ourselves, even with other kids and folks at the concert, no one else came over to play.
After the second set started, a young girl came over to us and asked to play with our cars on a string we had brought and that were sitting with us on the bench. Hob was afraid to share hers because the kid might just keep it, so she took Boomer's. The wheels fell off several times and the girl had to bring it back to be fixed, but she had fun with it. Hobnose barked that kids at these concerts must be pretty bored, so it was nice to share a little fun with a toy.
After the concert we drove around the neighborhood a bit and Hobnose saw a really tall hill into Crafton Heights and we drove up it, and the view was all over, you could see into the city. Woof!
