Witty Nonsensical Post
Well. To recap on the past few days. I'm not sure if I wrote about Friday or not. But I got called in, an hour early, and had to close. I made good money that night though so things were well. Though being stuck there all goddamn night was terrible. Saturday was boring and I did nothing. Sunday was busy and I made ok money. Monday, the same. Today.. Ugh.
I called work to find out when I worked next because they have not been posting the schedule for who knows what reason. I find out 'corporate office' is downsizing and they had to let go of 3 servers and some kitchen staff. So guess who's out of a job. Their reasoning is that I was one of the newest and was therefore prime for the cutting block. I assume two other people who were as new as I was were also let go. According to the manager I talked to on the phone it's a "temporary leave of absence" not getting fired.
There are two major complications due to this. The most obvious one is that now I'm out of a job, which sucks. Because I really needed the money. I have to find a new one now, with this terrible economy where no one is hiring, and I hate job hunting because I have a touch of the social anxiety.
The other major complication is now I cannot really talk to my landlord/grandmother. This is particularly bad because we were actually getting along recently. I was spending more time upstairs talking to them and we weren't constantly arguing. Now I have to go back to listening to how I need to cut my hair and blah blah blah. Which is.. I want to kill her. I won't, but I want to. It's infuriating. So now I'm stuck downstairs and unable to talk to her again. Thanks world, I was finally getting along with my family. Great way to fuck it up.
