ok, three main subjects tonight. the following isn't one of them.
Early November is a band Alice told me about. so far, they're mediocre.
Domino's Pizza made more than $10,000 this week. We kick ass! our area director will be very pleased. i can't wait to see him again and see the look on his face. i think our total was $10,009.24 . this is very exciting. a huge sense of accomplishment came over us as we left tonight. not only did we break $10,000 , but we made a 76-pizza order for a leadership camp up at the abbey. yes, very difficult, took us an hour and a half or so to finish. yeah, you don't care about Domino's, we're moving on.
Jack in the Box had their tacos on sale for 24 cents a piece today. i got ten. they were pretty decent. worth far more than 24 cents. more around 67. and then we found 32 ounce drinks for 89 cents. ok, you still don't care. god, im suprised you're still reading this.
Ok, serious stuff. Great story about a Medic that i read, though i'd share it. ok, this medic, very similar to a fleet marine force corpsman, was in Iraq (duh). a sniper shoots him. his bullet proof vest is what kept this guy alive. he falls, gets back up, screambles around the humvee for cover. his squad comes over and the hunt begins. they secure the block, find the sniper and a driver scurrying away. the 50 caliber machine gun on the humvee shoots out the tires and wounds the sniper. they take off on foot. the driver hops over a fence and another squad catches him. the sniper was far more elusive. thanks to some help from iraqi families, and a fresh blood trail, they find the block he's on and secure it. the medic, and two iraqi soilders, begin checking houses. they find him next door to the first house they check. the medic gets in, apprehends him, hand cuffs him, and treats his wounds. amazing. this medic treats the man that tried to kill him mintues ago. all in all, its not a matter of what side their on. a human life is a human life to a medic. mabey corpsman can be the same. at least i hope i can.
