Hello my minions. So Chrystal will go out of town for about 11 days on Friday. needless to say, i need something that will keep me occupied for that amount of time. after a short amount of pondering led me to the appropriate anwser: another x-box game! yes, of course. with an involving, twisted story and a something to take my mind off things. I look at the current RPGs out and i decide on Jade Empire. the makers of KOTOR bring an RPG in anceint China, very nice concept indeed. Plus a 9.9/10 from IGN.com can't possibly be unworthy of my time.
Hunter and I made the trip up to Gamestop, amoungst several other stops. used for less than $30, it was found. bought it i did. talking like yoda, i can't stop. around the survivors, a premiter create. not if anything to say about it, i have!
ok, snapping back into reality.
so I purchased it. what a deal! or so i thought. our next stop, after a through car wash, was JAMS. Jeff's Amazing Music Store, for those unfamilair. Hunter needed some new strings, for which to rock with. and I needed to check on all those Evans drum heads. yes, its my job to make sure they're all in order, organized and all. Whilst checking out, i noticed a cardboard box with several dvd and cd looking cases. closer inspection revealed that it was indeed DVDs, as well as playstation and X-box games. dammit yeah! so i look, not excepcting much. Jeff told me they were from his "collection". why he'd sell them at his store, was beyond me. I look through the dvds, nothing i recognize. and the lack of Final Fantasy VII made me lose any intrest in any possible Playstation games. The x-box games made me salivate.
Jeff is apparently a fan of the Medal of Honor series, for i found several of them there, including an x-box version of allied assault. i kept looking, for their were only three x-box games there, and i needed to find the best deal! next up: tom clancy's splinter cell! wow, surley Jeff has beaten this game 5 times over if he's getting rid of it! Pandora Tomorrow non the less. at Ten out of Ten from EGM, and Jeff wants only 9 dollars for it... wait a mintue? 9 dollars for a recent x-box game? surley, the price tag is a fluke! i look on...
Brothers in Arms: Road to Hill 30. wow!!! this is awesome! this game has been dubbed the most realistic world war II shooter ever! by now, i've figured out Jeff's favorite game genre, and wonder if he's gotten into Call of Duty. before i can ask, the price tag reaches up and slaps me across the face. $10. $10 for one of the best x-box games on the market. $10. yeay god. $10. right next to the price tag of JAMS saying $10, is one from EB games saying $45. i inquire, Jeff re-assures me he's selling a brilliant masterpiece for $10-fucking-dollars.
By now i have concluded that Jeff is either legally insane, or has conphinsated one of his child's collections, and wants to get rid of it quickly as a punishment. either way, their lost shall be my gain!I almost lept for joy. had Jeff not been such a religious man, i would have squealed "hell yeah! im buying it!" but i settled for "oh man, im getting it, theres no doubt about that!" one debit card swipe later, and i have two new video games to get me through to the end of the month!!!
this is what i go through when i find out Chrystal isn't going to be around for a while :(
