Art for Railise's Shadows and Stone
This year, I had the privilege of creating a trailer based on railise's fanfiction, Shadows and Stone, for the Merlin Big Bang at paperlegends. I am forever grateful that I was matched with her for this event. Not only has her fic been a joy to read (all of you are in for a wonderful treat!), but railise herself was supportive at every turn, providing me with in-depth summaries when she was still just beginning and the latest chapters as soon as she had a draft available. This has proven a terrific experience and challenge, and I'm forever grateful that I decided to take part.

Video Notes: I tried to be as faithful to railise's wonderful story as possible, but I was limited by the Merlin footage that already exists. As with all adaptations, small changes have been made, but hopefully it is still true to the heart of her creation. Clips are from Merlin S1-3, Starz's Camelot, First Knight, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, and Shakespeare in Love.
A/N: As mentioned earlier, many thanks must go to railise. She is also responsible for providing me with the actors to portray two of her OCs in my trailer, so a thousand thanks for taking a huge weight off my shoulders. I'd also like to extend my thanks to themuppet, who seamlessly organized this event. Credit to lika_mikala for her Merlin scripts, without which I would have spent many more hours (possibly days) searching for appropriate dialogue. Finally, I've kept my involvement in paperlegends pretty quiet, so I'm not sure if my f-list even knew I was taking part, but a million thanks to all of them for providing me with emotional support when study abroad and internship woes popped up -- I'm not sure I would have been able to finish this project without them!
