Last Wednesday a crossed another boundary of geekdom and went to a tweetup organised by @ Ale_2point0 at The Rake. richardwiseman is carrying out an experiment on psychic abilities using twitter. Basically, he's going to go to a random location and send a tweet at around 3pm and then we've all got to guess where he is sometime in the next half hour.

So, over the past couple of days both lj and twitter have exploded with people discontent about some of the books Amazon had apparently decided to censor from it's recommendations. As a spokesman from Amazon has since claimed it was a glitch, so hopefully everything should be rectified soon, whatever the reason behind it, they appear to realise ( Read more... )
