Gogs are off to Oxford on Saturday, dancing in the city centre during the day, as follows:

2pm - Bonn Square
2.45pm - Cornmarket followed by tea & cake break
3.15pm - Broad Street

...or something vaguely along those lines.

Just heard that Bellowhead will be playing New Year's Eve at the Royal Festival Hall. That would be the most amazing NYE ever. Unfortunately, it appears it's £50 a ticket :'-(

Suspect, Bursledon Village Band Ceilidh at C# would be a fun alternative though :-)

The summer may be over and there may not be festival after festival every weekend anymore, but it does mean all the ceilidh series start up again :-)

I know I said I'd let a few of you know which ceilidhs I'm planning to head to this Autumn. As the first one's tonight, I'd best get around to it, so here they are:

There look to be a fun couple of dances coming up in the next couple of weeks (a ceilidh and a contra), so to share them with anyone who's missed them:

So, having just got back from DERT, 2 week's later, it's probably about time I finished posting about IVFDF

Saturday Workshops
( cajun, appellachian and dancing in wheelchairs )

It was generally a good IVFDF this year and involved meeting lots of new people and not being recognised by lots of old ones (it seems having shorter hair is a good disguise), even if it was sandwiched between busy weeks.

They even recognised my fame and put a photo of me in the programme :-)
