(no subject)
i'm on my last week of being a teenager. that's wierd...
5 days down, 10 to go of community college... the class is so boring and lasts for 3 hrs 15 minutes. the material could be easily covered in half an hour. it seems like community college instructors really feel that what they are saying is just so profound, difficult, and new. we're going over topics like hearing vs. listening, plagerism, finding a topic, outlining, central ideas, etc. *yawn* plus, i've already taken a class that had a speech component, and i had to give an informative and a persuasive speech. all i want to do after class is to nap.
i am really outnumbered in my class. there are 15 people total. i am the only asian person (i am commuting 35 minutes out to southeast houston in pasadena), and i am the sole longhorn. there are about 5 texas a&m aggies. it was the funny on the first day when each of them wore a maroon out shirt. i laugh at how seriously they take our "rivalry", when UT really doesn't care all that much about them except when we're playing each other.
i made all A's this semester :). i cut it so close in accounting though. the "party" (final) didn't go well at all. i surprisingly made a 87 on my econ 3rd midterm/final, and the class average was a 59.
crap! i am sure that my internal hard drive is going to crash in the near future. for the past week, i have been hearing this rhythmic clicking noise, and my computer has been lagging way more than usual. i tried system restore, but nothing happened, and i'm pretty sure that this is a hardware issue because of the clicking. i don't have the cd-roms for my microsoft xp professional and my microsoft office professional, which is what i am really worried about if i replaced my own hard drive.
i was so glad to learn today that complete coverage came with my laptop and that i still have 400+ days on it. i will have to call dell up (which i'm disliking more and more) on monday to get this taken care of. maybe they will replace my lcd screen too since i have 2 lines of dead pixels, and maybe they will give me a new 'k' key, which has been naked for 1+ years.
