last night claire and i took a cab home from benihanas.  the cab driver  ended up cutting off a van  so  he could  pull up to our corner.  the  van's sirens go off and out  storms  this  white guy (not wearing a uniform) cursing at the cab driver.  he rolls down his windows, and  guy starts screaming at him. that he almost killed him. and  himself and his passengers.  something about how the driver  makes a living for his family  from driving a cab so why is he so reckless. then turns to us and says  that he doesn't care how  much we  demanded to be dropped off on the  correct corner, it was the driver's responsibility... all that while shouting and saying "fucking" as much as possible.  and teh driver just takes it  and apologizes politely.

i was so fucking pissed off.  the driver may have made a mistake, but no one deserves to be yelled at the way he was.  all of the curse words and talking about how he makes a living was so incredibly degrading.  he never asked anything. just yelled. and when he was done yelling. he got back in his van and took off.

so fucking terrible.  i wish i would have thought to (and had the balls to) get out and demand to know who the guy was. if he was a cop, he needs to be reported.  such fucking ass holes exist in this world.  i know it happens every where else too, but new york is starting to get to me.
