Some Kanzenban scans of the chibi characters at the front of each volume, from Vol. 1-9. The descriptions are cute, as are some of the objects associated with them (Akari's object is a Hikaru!!). Click on images to enlarge.( Image heavy cut )

Since they're reissuing the manga, do you think that there's some new interest in it? Like maybe...a live-action tv series? ^_^

Now that would be interesting. I don't know how well it'd work, but I'd like to see it. They did make a live-action for Sailormoon a little while after the manga was reissued, but I don't think that happens for every re-released series, so...I guess it depends? *crosses fingers*

Shueisha really needs an English proof-reader. Seriously.

The pictures are so cute. Thanks for sharing :P And it'd be great to have a live-action for Hikaru no Go, though I doubt they would find anyone suitable for Sai...

I don't think it would be that hard for them to find an androgynously pretty man if they cast an Asian actor, actually. Look at the pics of this Korean actor, who played in The King and the Clown. Yeah, Asia has an abundance of pretty men who can act. I could see them casting someone like the guy in your link as Sai.

Live action Hikago would be pretty cool. I wonder if they'd keep the glowing go boards...

I absolutely adore vol. 4 cover. It's weird to have Waya on the same page with Torajirou but yet I find it.. interesting? and they have Hikaru on the screen in the outer cover?

Yup, that's Hikaru on the flap of the outer cover. I'm really glad they didn't keep Waya on it. It would have been...weird. ^_^
